I just want to share a comment/question from my 9 year old. If Adam and Eve didn’t eat the forbidden fruit–would we have holidays? (thinking of easter and Christmas as no longer necessary). I thought it was insightful and funny. :0)

This was my little one’s question, while praying for her sibling…..(was 3yrs 9 mos at the time)
Bunny Girl: “Mama, why isn’t Jesus bringing my baby”
What do you say when you get questions like these??
Me: “It’s because Jesus is answering prayers one at a time. He has a book with names of people who are praying for babies.
Silence! So I continue….
Me: Your name is going higher and higher up in the list and soon it will be your turn to have your prayer answered.
More silence and I could see she was thinking about what I’d said…Was she convinced??
After a few more seconds passed she asked
BG: Which book Mama?……. Facebook?
(Post note: Her baby brother arrives in May :>)

I have four children. Their ages are 6, 5, 2, & 5 months. My older two are aware of the three year age gap between the 5 yr old and the 2 yr old. My husband and I talk to them about our third child who went to be with God @ 10 weeks gestational age. So their question is: “Why did God take our brother/sister?”

Many years ago my son asked “Who were God’s parents and if he didn’t have any why not?”

While saying our prayers, my 6yr old asked my why I start with Dear Jesus and end with Thank you Lord, Amen. My reply was, they are actually the same person and before I could finish she said, “NO WAY- that’s awesome!” However, 2 minutes later she wanted me to explain…HELP!

My 4 yr. old daughter asked last night: “I know how Jesus gets into my heart, but how do we get into Jesus’ heart?”

My 3 year old was telling me all about the salvation story about how Jesus was a baby and He grew up and died on the cross. Her question was “When are we covered in His blood?”

A couple months ago while I was putting my 3 year old son to bed. He asked me “Where is God?” I told him he was everywhere and that he also lived in my heart and daddys heart. He said “How Mommy?” I said all you have to do is ask Him. So immediatly he closed his eyes and prayed “Dear God please get in my belly.” Then I kissed him goodnight. The next morning he was really cheerful and ran to my husband and said “Daddy, Daddy! God’s in my belly and it’s great!” We both giggled and then my husband looked over at me and said they always say the belly is the way to a mans heart. <3
Thanks for letting me share our family moment with you.

When my daughter was three, we were riding in the car, and she was looking up at the sky. She asked, “Mommy, when Jesus comes back to take us to heaven, will he let us stop to touch the clouds on the way up? I want to know what they feel like.”
I thought it was adorable!

My eldest, who is 11 now – asked me when he was younger, “Did Adam and Eve have belly-buttons?”
Um…no I guess not. Well, maybe. Um…no. Go ask your Dad!

When my son was small he wanted to know How God can listen to everyone’s prayers at once and remember/hear them all without getting confused! LOL

My 3yr old daughter has been carrying around this girl doll that she named “Jesus”. We have tried telling her that “Jesus” is a boy’s name, but she insists that this doll looks just like the baby in our Manger scene. Finally today, she looks up at me and asks. Mommy, is God a boy or a girl. Of course, I answered her Jesus called him Father, so God is definitely a boy….
