With a new Live DVD Adventure: Combating the Commandant of Confusion releasing this month, we wanted to give you a backstage look at the man behind the armor – Children’s Pastor Robert T. Schlipp!

When Children’s pastor and evangelist, Robert T Schlipp, “became” Bibleman in August of 2003, it was the realization of an unusual dream.

“Five minutes into watching my first Bibleman episode I thought that this is what God created me to do! I can’t sing well and I’m not an athlete, but hey, I could run around in a cape and mask and tell people about Jesus!” Robert T recalls.

Now, seven years and eight Bibleman DVDs later, multiple action figures with his likeness and countless live shows under his ‘belt of truth’, Robert T is living out his unique calling to minister to children with a power-punch of purpose coupled with a whole lot of heart.

“I try to remember that I am not an actor—I’m an evangelist,” Robert T explains. Having ministered to over 275 thousand people and seeing well over 20 thousand of those come to Christ since first strapping on his ‘breastplate of righteousness’, Robert T’s journey to reach hearts for Christ in an unconventional way has been both mind-boggling and humbling.

“I’ve spent time with children who have life-threatening illnesses, prayed with countless kids as they asked Christ into their lives, watched as a 35-year-old dad responded first to the invitation to accept Jesus at a live event and prayed with a 28-year-old mom who once lived a life scarred with drug addiction and prostitution,” Robert reflects. “This ministry isn’t just for kids…..it’s for everyone looking to experience the incredible forces of joy.”

With two young children of his own, Abigail (4) and Zachary (2), the ministry of Bibleman is even more meaningful for this real-life super-hero. Robert T has brought a fresh perspective to the Bibleman brand and an authentic heart for evangelism that is evident at every live event and in each individual Bibleman episode.

“Before I was involved, kids were encouraged to talk to their parents or their pastors if they wanted to make a commitment to follow Christ. Now, we end every episode with an invitation for viewers to choose to follow Jesus and offer a simple prayer of salvation that they can repeat,” Robert T explains.

Complete with his own Facebook page and ministry web-site, Robert T has brought a more personal and pro-active face to the Bibleman character. “I’ve enjoyed sharing scriptures that the Lord has used to encourage me with my fans each day,” Robert T shares.

But that’s not all this caped crusader shares. Countless hours on the road, personal one on one interaction with his fans, and a true passion for spreading his message of a human transformed by the Word of God, Robert T has brought the ‘pow’, ‘bang’, ‘whiz’ and ‘pop’ back into fighting the good fight.

So keep a watch-full eye out….Robert T is Bibleman for a brand new generation of kids and will be defeating doubt, conquering fear and torching temptation with the sword of the spirit in a town and television near you.
